Daisy Podmeyer - Outreach Coordinator
Daisy is a retired engineer from DuPont, and a current STEM instructor. She holds a Master of Science in Education Leadership from University of Dayton, a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhatten College, and an Integrated Curriculum Teaching Certification for grades 5-9 from the state of FL. Daisy has 15 years of industrial and business experience, and over 10 years in education and administration. She and her husband Dave moved here in 2014 from FL where they will eventually retire back to. Their 3 adult children live in FL and TX. Daisy enjoys traveling, continuously learning, and serving her community.
About the role: Leads organizational outreach to local High School students for our section. Plans involvement in at least one major outreach event typically during National Eweek in February and coordinates section involvement. Coordinates classroom visits for Career Days. Events may be new and sponsored by the section or existing events that need support. Chair can form committees and or select chairs for individual events.
Nakita Lancaster - Communications Chair
Brown and Caldwell
Nakita is a design engineer at Brown and Caldwell, where she focuses on water/wastewater treatment and wet weather management. Nakita earned her B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Utah State University and M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut. Prior to college, Nakita served four years Active Duty in Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller.
About the role: Coordinates section communications for consistent message. Maintains section website, blog, and social networking pages as needed. Coordinates listserv emails and membership mailings with the secretary. Fills in for secretary in event of unavailability.
