Joining the South Ohio SWE Board is a fantastic way to support our local section, and will provide you with great opportunities to develop leadership skills and expand your network!
South Ohio SWE is always happy to add new members to our leadership team! The South Ohio SWE Board is made up both elected officers and appointed chairs.
Elected officers include the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary
The elections for the next financial year (which runs July-June) occur every Spring and are conducted by a nominating committee.
If you are interested in running for an elected position, or would like to serve on the nominating committee, keep an eye our for announcements in early Spring.
Appointed chairs include the non-elected leaders of the board, and may vary depending on the needs of the current board. Examples of chairs include Outreach Chair, Membership Chair, Marketing Chair, Communications Chair, and Programs Chair.
Chairs are appointed by the SOSWE board and approved by the presiding president.
